did y’all miss me?

Category: everyday | March 19th, 2012

i kind of had my own spring break from the web apparently. been out of town and just too busy to sit down and think. :) but i am back! had a great time visiting my family. even though miss P had a rough few days. :( poor thing had a fever and has been teething with all of her molars at once!! even took her in to make sure she didn’t have an ear infection or anything, thankfully she didn’t. and very thankful i have a loving/understanding/supportive family who helped me with her and also let me take a shower once in a while. ;) i also realized she might be like me and prefer the hot tub over the pool. i mean it is nice. :) (fyi: the water temp was set lower so the babies could have fun in there). we had a packed weekend with my niece’s first soccer practice, lots of bubble blowing, playground time, feeding the ducks and birds (P might have fed herself a piece or two), swimming, and lots of family time.

oh and i don’t think i’ll be traveling anytime soon during spring break. the usual 4 hour trip took us 7 hours! seven! well about an hour of that was us getting out and taking a break from the car. so we walked around target and played peek a boo in all the dresses. it was a much needed break for us. surprisingly miss P did great in the car. she was so excited to see her daddy when we got home. i was too. :) i will not be making a solo trip anytime soon that’s for sure. ha. i have a few blog posts lined up so hopefully i can get back in the swing of things. hope everyone had a great spring break!!

(ps. still sad that i didn’t get to see my sweet alycia. next time. i promise. xox)

penelope and the slide

at our neighborhood park there is a little playground and p LOVES it. i do too. it’s a nice meeting place for all my mama friends too. :) this girl loves her slides. loved them for quite some time too. this one in particular because she can climb up the steps and go down the slide all by herself. such a big girl. i told her today that she needs to slow down with this growing up business. too fast! ….oh and she loves those rocks.

so the bridal shower was yesterday and it was so much fun. i think everyone enjoyed it and had fun mingling and talking about a lot of girlie stuff. ;) i’ll blog a little more about it tomorrow. for now i’m off to relax with the mister! much needed after this crazy busy/fun weekend. :)

a little busy

(yes i made up the poem. don’t make fun) ;)
we have been a little busy over here lately. i am managing to squeeze in all these projects during my “free” time this past week and next few days. i am hosting a bridal shower for a dear friend of mine at the house and clearly i have been busy with handmade decorations. (the photo is the invite….for all you instagram followers, that’s where all those hearts i cut out awhile back came into play)  :) can’t wait to show y’all! i’m going to wait until after the shower since that certain friend reads this blog. ;) after this weekend i plan on tackling even more projects….along with going outside for hours everyday because this weather is pretty nice.

bits + pieces

Category: everyday | March 3rd, 2012

one of my fav blogs to read is bleubird and she does a friday ritual called “bits + pieces.” i think i might give it a go too. (i know it’s technically saturday, but i wrote this post yesterday so that counts right?) i also realized i need to bust out with my canon more often instead of counting on my phone. :)

started off the day at the library for story time. she somewhat paid attention. :) played in barnes & noble for a bit and then ran around outside since it was gorgeous weather. when P took a nap i even busted out the paints and worked on the bathroom canvases that i have been putting off for forever. went on some walks, played outside some more, did some baby wearing (first time for the back position) and then P took out almost every toy in about 5 minutes. the last pic is a good view of what the end of the day looks like before i pick it all up. :) good day.
