dinner time!

Category: baby | July 26th, 2011

so tiny. so simple. so cute. :) miss penny’s first non breast milk meal. lol. yummy sweet potatoes. homemade, of course. ;) even though she’s already 6 months (still need to post her 6 months pics!) i want to wait just a little bit longer before feeding her baby food on a daily basis. but i had tons of sweet potatoes and this awesome cooker i haven’t used yet. plus…i can totally eat it too! it’s just sweet potatoes (although, i might have to add a little butter to mine) ;)

cut up one sweet potato, steamed it, blended it. and done. i LOVE this babycook by beaba. such a neat product! highly suggest it to whoever wants to cook their own baby food. so easy! and now here are lots of pics of P. ha

pretty sure of the 1/16 of the bowl she ate….half of that ended up on her face. ;)

weekend photos

Category: baby, everyday | July 18th, 2011

took a tiny road trip with P this past weekend…which was kind of challenging by yourself when she wants your attention 24/7. i even had an entire bag of just toys and pacis for her to hand one by one as she plays with it, shakes it, chews on it, and then throws it across the car onto the floor. haha oh man. so just a few stops and an extra hour added to the 4 hours and yay we made it! ;) we did make at least 2 new friends at every stop we made. lol. she cracks me up. we spent lots of time with family and loved every bit of it!!

1– chillin at starbucks
2, 3– swimming with her sweet cousins
4– brother bonding with P
5– watching grover
6– sweet bubba
7– afternoon snooze with daddy

excited for this week. we have another road trip coming up for a wedding! yay! happy monday!!

this girl is growing up way too fast

Category: baby, everyday | July 13th, 2011

i have realized why i haven’t been blogging as much as usual lately…it’s because this girl is growing up way too fast, and i am trying to soak it all in! seriously. just in this past week this girl has learned to: say her dadas (first word!), sit up on her own, scoot backwards from one side of the room to the other, and her first tooth popped out! oh and she can do push ups. no joke. she’s that good. haha

i’ve tried to take a pic of her little tooth but she’s not allowing that at the moment. ps…i love taking pics with her. lol on a side note…i have been working a lot on the quilt!! it’s coming along. yay! have a great wednesday!!

handmade gift exchange

Category: baby | July 1st, 2011

whoever thought of a handmade gift exchange is pretty awesome. craftaholics anonymous hosted this handmade gift exchange (which she does lots) and i joined and got a super sweet partner amanda over at patricia rae designs. after a few emails of getting to know each other we both sent out our gifts! i was so excited to give her and her two sweet girls lots of girlie things. this is the fun package that i gave her!

some headbands, bows, and clips from my shop. i had fun putting it together for them! and i got her package in the mail yesterday! eeek! she does lots of cute outfits and hair accessories herself, and i love everything she gave us! she was very generous with her talent!

how cute are these ruffled bottom onesies?? penny pants seems to love them. :) she also made some fun skirts too…

and last but now least, she made this adorable hair bow holder!! it matches PERFECTLY for her room. can’t wait to hang it up and put all her cute little bows that she can’t wear just yet on it. ;)

ok…so these are adorable. love them all. thank you so much amanda! everyone needs to buy your cute stuff! go check her out! :) and yay for friday!!!

for the teething baby

Category: baby, DIY | June 30th, 2011

P has been teething for a bit now, pretty much anything she can get her hands and mouth on. ha. it’s been forever since i have worn necklaces but i saw this cute tutorial and saw it as a win/win for both of us! a bit of sunshine posted this super easy and cute tutorial for a teething necklace for her baby girl, so i made one too!

i used some fabric i had laying around that was already washed and some beads from an old necklace i haven’t worn in a long time. followed the simple steps, let P play with/slobber all over the fabric to distract her while i finish braiding, and yay!

(you did not want to see my hair that day) ha
