we had a blast at our lil gender party. SO glad we decided to have one. everyone should try it! :) i want to thank everyone who came and was a part of this special moment. we will remember this day for forever! now….what shall i make first for this lil one?? :)

today is FINALLY the day we get our ultrasound to figure out the gender of the baby….(yes i am 25 weeks along. midwife wanted me to wait til 24). HOWEVER….we still won’t know what it is until next sunday!! eeeeek. i made a little card for the sonographer to write in and put the picture in. :) (i used elsie’s scrapbook paper!)

wanted to do a gender party…so next sunday it is! wish my fam could make it but we will skype them or something like that! sooooo excited. we have been waiting for a long time for this. i have no idea what it is….at first i thought it was a boy, then i thought it was a girl after awhile, i’ve given up now and am just uber excited. last ultrasound i got of the baby was at 12 weeks. the baby is going to look completely different!! eeek!
**update….ultrasound went super well!! baby is healthy and all its measurements are perfect. we got to see everything from its tiny feet to its kidneys…of course we looked the other way for the sonographer to see the sex. it was a weird feeling..knowing that it was right there. put the “it’s a ____” pic in the envelope and dropped it off with my friend right after. craziness!

i got the opportunity to “bug” husband during work today and we chatted online about nursery rooms. kept sending each other fun ideas and themes and i am SOOOO excited!! we haven’t narrowed it down to one just yet, but we have some super fun ideas and inspiration.

mainly giving credit to all the awesome ideabooks at houzz.com. good thing we got some ideas because the rents are coming in town this week and going to go baby shopping! super excited. baby’s room has absolutely nothing in it, so it will be fun to start putting things in there slowly but surely! :)

one day…i believe there will be a starbucks (or any decent coffee shop for that matter) placed near my house out in the sticks. one day. until then….i will enjoy my 40 minute round trip to starbucks and back for that perfect *decaf, soy, no whip, no sprinkles pumpkin spice latte* it was so worth it.
went perfectly with heart pancakes. spent the rest of the day with husband. even though we cleaned out the garage half of the day it was fun. he let me play Christmas music. i don’t know what it is…well i do know. i heart Christmas. but it seems i have started EXTRA early this year. but that’s okay. :) i LOVE putting frank sinatra holiday on pandora and listening to all the amazing oldies holiday music. baby has been kicking (or punching) like it’s its job lately. i think its the music. its a fan too. ;)
