a little DIY accessory

Category: DIY | December 22nd, 2010

last minute gift for the ladies…(you can even use materials you already have!) but you don’t have to tell them that. ;)
yarn bracelet
cute little yarn & button bracelet.
materials
all you need is:
– a bracelet (mine was an old one that started falling apart)
– some yarn
– cute things to put on it….i used some buttons
– a glue gun
getting started
just hot glue the yarn around the bracelet. i glued all around the outside of bracelet just to make sure.
yarn bracelet
then glue on some pretties. the idea is to hide the end pieces of the yarn with the buttons.
tada
tada
yarn bracelet
fun! i think the thicker the bracelet the more fun! then you can put all sorts of things on it.
ornament
and if you don’t want to wear it you can add some ribbon and use it as an ornament or pretty decoration.

hope everyone has finished up their Christmas shopping….if not then there’s an easy DIY gift! have a great one!

lovely hairpin vases

Category: DIY | October 18th, 2010

vases
talk about super easy DIY project. saw this over at Under the Sycamore and fell in love. i made these for our gender party. boy and a girl one of course. :)
boy vase
i simply followed her instructions which really was hot glue the bobby pin on the jar. i added a button to the pin and used a feather for fun and to hide the glue mess in the back. :)
girl vase
the cool thing about this is you can change out the paper! or they can be photos. these are super cute gifts to make for others and you can write them a fun note on the paper too!
flowers
pretty flowers! such a great idea Ashley! anyone can do this, especially if you are like me a keep all of your jars. ;)
