my good friend autumn over at the letter studio, made this sweet piece for penelope. it’s definitely her favorite song. i didn’t have a frame on hand, so i decided to add a little something to it before i put it in her room. :)



found some lace and some ribbon. used the fabulous hot glue fun and glued the lace together. i also rounded the edges on the piece for softer look to go with the lace. and then glued the lace around the edges on the back.


then glued the ribbon to the back like so. doesn’t have to be pretty since no one will see it. makes life easier. :)


and tada! homemade frame. i think it turned out pretty cute. found a little home for it on the wall in her room. i would show better pics of her room but it’s a tad bit messy right now. i am in the process of packing up her nb and 0-3 months clothes and putting out 3-6 and of course 6-9 since she will be fitting into those in no time apparently. so yea….better pics of her room are to come! but yay for cute wall decor! :)

oh my goodness. i have a 3 month old. wow. big and healthy and smiling like it’s her job. she also sings with her daddy. how cute is that?? she’s holding her head up and even starting to turn on her sides. and she loves her hands…especially her thumb. oh man…it is super cute though. she loves to stare at herself in the mirror too. lol such a big girl…but she needs to slow down!!! (she’s loving her quilt that one of her uncle’s mom made for her! super sweet)

her grandparents just left to go back home. we LOVE when they come visit. had a great time with them as always. hope everyone has a happy wednesday!!!

a tiny package arrived for miss penelope the other day from her sweet, sweet cousin (she’s been getting more mail than me lately!) ;) she was taking a snooze (a deep snooze) so i went ahead and opened it up for her.


what could it be??


only the cutest lil pink jellies!!! haha. it cracked me up when i opened it. sooo cute. thank you emery!! miss you bunches, can’t wait to see you again! xox

tiny pen pals

yep, that’s right…penelope has a pen pal. how stinkin cute is that?!

meet miss lyric!! cutie pie! (they are only 4 days apart) she got her first letter from miss lyric the other day. plus a sweet little gift. :) i am so excited for these sweet girls and to see their relationship grow from miles and miles away! wish i had i pen pal growing up. little jealous. ;)

excited to use her little gift too! her mama made this jar of sweetness. this one is coconut balm. yum! pretty awesome. she has other great scents and organic essentials too in her shop! we “met” through our blogs, and she asked me if penelope was interested. LOVED the idea. hmm…penelope and i have some ideas for miss lyric. fun! can’t wait.

of course p is for penelope…but i thought she could use a cute lil p as a pillow. she took a good nap today and let me make this for her.


it’s the same amy butler fabric that i used to make her sheet for her crib. i’m sorta loving it. i decided to put it in my shop! well not hers (clearly she gets to keep it) but i can make another one. ;)
