so i’ve been working on a new header for PLC today and haven’t had any luck. bummer. so i moved on. and made some pom poms for the baby’s mobile. i found one for $5 the other day and just replaced the old hanging down things with these. :)

on another note: i’m 39 weeks today! (i know i still need to post week 38) but yay! getting closer to her arrival! happy wednesday!

soo for the record i definitely started this project for myself. but my head is not that small. so it became baby’s! :) got this super cute idea from Elsie over at A Beautiful Mess. she has a little tutorial to follow if you want to make one!

i knitted a nice (little) rectangle for the hat.

then i added some green yarn that i braided for the two tie strings.

then the fun pom pom! i totally could have made it bigger, but i didn’t want to embarrass my child. ;)

and done!

imagine a sweet little baby girl’s head right there. and imagine her loving it and keeping it on. lol


i love it. i hope she does. not sure how many times she will wear it with this texas weather. hopefully it will still fit next winter too. :) speaking of baby….due date is less then 2 weeks away. eeek!

did y’all ever have a little tooth fairy pillow?? i had one my mom made me. wish i knew where it was. it was light blue with care bears on it and it was heart shaped too. this was my first attempt at making one. it’s about 9″x6″.


need to work on my sewing skills, esp. on the points. :) but you get the idea.

if there’s no kiddos with loose teeth just yet, then this is perfect for a little message pillow! love it.

happy tuesday!! trying to enjoy the weather….even though it’s about 80 degrees….and 4 days away from Christmas. crazy. i would love some coldness please!

finished baby girl’s painting! excited to hang it up!


it was super easy to do. acrylic paints are amazing. :) i was also thinking of writing in her little initials on the trunk…as soon as we know what those will be. ;)

it’s going to go above the crib. looks fun against the orange.

hope she loves it as much as i do. i have more paintings to do before Christmas. i heart painting! i don’t know why i don’t do it more often?!

here is a lil sneak peek of the baby’s room! while i was gone this past weekend, hubs and his bestie painted the wall! it’s a fun pumpkin orange. only one wall. thought it would be too much if every wall was painted. it looks fabulous! i have been working hard on washing all the clothes…and there’s a ton thanks to my sis! :) and organizing all of the little pieces. omg they are so tiny. adorable. there’s still lots to be done to the room. placing all the furniture+putting all the tiny things in their special places+adding shelves to the wall+hanging up decor+painting a big canvas to go above the crib+lots of love=yay!

i’m trying to be super productive when i have the time. although this lack of energy is creeping up on me the farther along i get. it’s fun nesting, but exhausting! hope you are having a productive day!!
