we had another great halloween over here in our little neighborhood. we met up with some friends for some food and fellowship and then parted our ways to get the good stuff. :) it was so fun seeing all the little ones in their cute outfits! i was impressed with a lot of them and how they kept their entire costume on the whole time!! pretty sure P wouldn’t last long. she did keep her skirt on. score! we managed to get a few “posed” pictures of the group. ha. P didn’t last long and was ready to go! she was so excited.
this year it was extra special for miss P because 1) she could walk and 2) she actually understand what was going on. she even managed to say trick or treat! but mainly it was “more candy please.” ha. at least she said please. it was hard for her to understand the you-can’t-have-all-the-candy idea. heart breaking. she went for all the tootsie rolls. ew. ;)
i was please with how her costume turned out. i wanted to keep it simple and it worked out. i originally attempted to dye a shirt for her in a royal blue color so she could look more like a peacock but umm…it turned out lavender. what? i even did it twice. it’s whatever. her black dress worked out better. ;) AND if you didn’t notice….her super tiny but cute pigtails!!! very proud. she managed to keep at least one in tact by the end of the night. ;)
hope everyone had a great night and got lots of goodies! eat responsibly! ;)
hope everyone has a safe and happy halloween! we are excited to go trick or treating tonight with our friends. this year miss P can walk so it’ll be more fun for her! i’m curious to see what her reaction is when people just hand her deliciousness. ha. should be interesting. ;) what are y’all dressing up as??? (i’ll have another post with miss P’s costume!)
i am loving this pic of miss P. this was last year for her first halloween. we had such a good time, but i am even more excited for this year because 1) she can walk up to the doors now and 2) she will have a better idea at what’s going on….or at least until she realizes what she gets when she goes up to the door. i may be a bit excited myself about all her candy. :) i had fun making her candy corn costume last year…it was pretty easy and she actually kept the tutu and headband on the whole time. this year i am not so sure how she will manage with “props.” i have a few ideas that i’ve seen on pinterest that i think she will tolerate and that i can make myself (while not taking forever and a day).
the mister and i didn’t dress up last year but we did the year before when i was pregnant with P. good ole juno. :) (i totally left my sunny d jug at home). i want to dress up again but i have no idea what. i’m loving all the pregnant costume ideas. hmmm. do you make your kiddos costumes??
yesterday was filled with baby registry stuff and a halloween party. i am so thankful for all my mama friends who are helping me with suggestions and must haves on the registry. y’all are the best! i am open for more if you want to share some motherly wisdom by me! :)
i am pretty proud of our last minute decision on what to be for the GO Youth Halloween Party last night. can you guess?? we had a great time with the kids. their costumes were awesome and tons of candy and games! good times. definitely wore me out. but then i had so much trouble sleeping last night. sigh.
good job love! :) it’s so cute!
i think i couldn’t sleep last night because i was thinking of all the things that i still need/want to do before baby comes (along with all the sugar i consumed). for instance, the WHOLE nursery. right now we only have a crib in there (yay!) and that’s it. nothing painted, nothing sewn, nothing on walls. oh man. already 7 months preggers. should i be worried? ;)
* to have everything ready in one month. we can do it!
well here’s to a very productive day. hopefully. happy thursday!
peace and love
