july has been such a busy month! weddings, family reunions, family vacations, and everything else in between. let me just say that i am ready to not live out of a suitcase for awhile. ;) we had so much fun though. lots and lots of family time…from both sides too! the girls did awesome with the many hours of traveling in the car. i was impressed. there were a few fits here and there…but i’ll just blame that on being in a new place and thrown off of our “schedule.” haha.
^^^look at all those super cute cousins! 12 girls and 1 boy. hehe^^^
the girls had so much fun spending time with their cousins and getting lots of extra attention from their aunts, uncles, and grandparents! i wish they all lived down the street from us! ;) most of the time was spent outside by the pool. and the other time spent was me putting sunscreen on them! man we went through a lot of sunscreen. i gotta protect my pale babies. although P is darker than me and tans easily. (must be nice). ;) it’s okay, i’ve accepted my paleness and think it’s cool. ha.
^^^group hug! love those kids! i miss them so much already.^^^
now that we are home we have a lot of projects around the house that we want to get started on…mainly outdoor ones since we actually have a backyard now! if you follow me on pinterest then you will see lots of “outdoor” pins lately. i have big plans for that backyard. so many projects, not enough time! story of my life.
well i’ve said this before and i will probably say this again but i hope to get back to blogging more now that we aren’t going anywhere for awhile. my future self will thank me later. ;)
two babes under two years. i won’t be able to say that for too much longer…as in 3 more days! sweet penelope turns two on saturday!! life with 2 under 2 has been a little crazy and a lot amazing. i am so excited to watch these girls grow up so close together. i knew before i got married that i wanted to have my kids close in age. i pretty much grew up as an only child for awhile there (my brother and sister are 8 and 9 years older than me), so i don’t know what it’s like to have a sibling so close in age. i’m sure there are going to be tough times when they dislike one another and don’t want to have anything to do with each other, but i also see them being life long best friends. sisters are pretty amazing. (brothers are too!) but there’s something special that sisters have…that sisterly bond. i already see penelope bonding more and more each day with ruby. (there’s only been a few pushes and thrown toys. better than i expected. haha). i think that ruby will be an exact opposite of penelope. penelope is the wild, full of energy, strong willed, stubborn, out going, funny girl. and i can see ruby being the laid back, quiet, calm, follow all the rules, sweet girl. but who knows….i could be way off. ;) these girls are my world. my two under two world. the only thing i would change is the double diaper duty. that’s a lot of diapers. now that penelope is about to turn two i might think about potty training. eeek. that’ll be interesting. :)
well i’m off to enjoy my two under two babies. i CANNOT believe i will have a two year old in a few days. i have been preparing for her party this weekend. i’m excited. maybe more than her. yay for parties!
